Welcome to the Carriage House, a home away from home providing boutique accommodations. Located directly off the Merritt Parkway in Hamden, Connecticut, we are minutes away from admired universities, historic museums, beautiful art galleries, various shops, national parks, famous restaurants, and much more. Whether you are touring the surrounding colleges, or travelling from afar to experience New Haven, or simply need to get away, we look forward to welcoming you with a friendly smile, personal service, and affordable accommodations.

Our newly renovated rooms are furnished with oversized beauty-rest pillow top beds, down alternative bedding, flat screen televisions, blackout window shades, hardwood flooring, Keurig coffeemakers, complimentary bottle of water including coffee and tea, mini fridges and microwaves, alarm clocks with usb charging ports, work desks, ironing boards with irons, hairdryers, and Aveda bath products. The rooms are designed to give our guests a stylish and cozy home away from home experience. Each room is unique and has its own flair, but every room provides well-appointed comfort. Additionally, the Carriage House makes every effort to maintain an eco-friendly environment, primarily by equipping the rooms in only cruelty-free/vegan products; the headboards are faux leather, the sheets are 100% cotton, the pillows and comforters are down-alternative, and the luxurious Aveda bath products are not only cruelty-free, but are completely vegan.
